I began my career as a journalist in 2003, when I began working at the Sun Herald newspaper in Biloxi, Mississippi.
In 2005, As a journalism student at LSU, I began working for LSU's student daily publication "the Daily Reveille" as a photographer. I continued down my journalistic pathway, working for The Advocate newspaper in Baton Rouge, La., and the West Side Journal newspaper in Port Allen, La., until 2015.
In 2008, Aaron became the editor of The West Side Journal, a weekly publication in Port Allen, La., where he continued to grow in his photography skills, producing quality images each week in sports and news.

As my confidence and skillset grew, I began to pick up freelancing gigs as a photographer in 2008, and launched into the freelancing world full-time as a photographer, writer, designer and editor in 2019.
In 2014, I co-founded Go Love Africa, a non-profit photography-based missions organization.
